In Liepaja took place few competitions

September 11-16 in the Liepaja Tennis Sport school tennis courts took place “LTSS and Ferax summer championship” for U18, U14 and U12 age groups. In all groups except U12 for girls all medals stayed in Liepaja.U18 for girls 1st place Dana Gribeļska, 2nd place Veronika Zalcmane, 3rd place Evelīna Ķīvīte.

U14 for boys 1st place Dāvids Špaks, 2nd place Dāvis Rolis, 3rd place Kārlis Vēberis.

U14 for girls 1st place Anastasija Rižkova, 2nd place Paula Jankova, 3rd place Evelīna Ķīvīte.U12 for boys 1st place Ričards Špaks, 2nd place Kristians Lasmanis, 3rd place Didzis Vārna.

U12 for girls 1st place Marina Markina (Ādaži TC), 2nd place Laura Spārniņa (LSNT akadēmija), 3rd place Madara Balode (TK Jelgava).

This competition was supported by “Ferax”.

September 16-17 took place “Liepaja Championship”.

In men competition 1st place won Eduards Grodskis, 2nd place Renārs Grodskis, 3rd place Andis Aigars.

In Women competition 1st place Alise Vindiga, 2nd place Alise Grundule, 3rd place Veronika Zalcmane.

Liepaja beach tennis championship 2017

23rd and 24th September, 2017, in beach tennis fields near Central Lifeguard station, will take place Liepaja beach tennis championship 2017.In the tournament can participate every inhabitant of Latvia who is at least 14 years old. Participants will be divided in Amateur and Pro divisions.

Championship is organized by Liepaja Tennis Sport school in collaboration with Liepaja Sport department.

From Ventspils with two gold medals

Septemb 3 in Rīga took place “PTA prix” for U8. Liepaja Tennis Sport school was represented by Orests Ronis. In his subdivision Orests won both opponents and qualified for the Final round, where he met with two other subdivision winners. By winning one out of two games Orests Ronis won Silver medal.September 10, in Ventspils took place “Ventspils prix” for U8. Liepaja Tennis Sport school was represented by Orests Ronis, Emīlija Brūdere, Poļina Iļasova and Jeļizaveta Rižkova.In boys competition Orests Ronis won two out of three games, but managed to get into the Semifinal, where he won. In Final Orests Ronis won with 11:9 and took Gold.

In girls competition Jeļizaveta Rižkova took 3rd place in her subdivision and finished 6th overall. Meanwhile Poļina Iļasova and Emīlija Brūdere won all their subdivision games and qualified for Semifinals. Emīlija Brūdere in Semifinal lost with 10:12 and unfortunately she lost the game for 3rd place as well and finished 4th overall. Poļina Iļasova in Semifinal with 11:3 managed to get into Final, where she succeeded and won Gold medal.

With our student victory the ITF Juniors “Venden Cup Liepaja 2017” has concluded

In the tennis courts of Liepaja Tennis Sport school has concluded ITF Juniours tournament “Venden Cup Liepaja 2017”, which took place from September 2 – 8. At the tournament participated tennis players from 15 countries – Sweden, Latvia, Norway, Russia, France, Belarus, Lithuania, Finland, Estonia, Poland, Ireland, Great Britain, Armenia, Ukraine and Australia.Even with the rainy weather, at the end all games were played on time.At “Venden Cup Liepaja 2017” Liepaja Tennis Sport school in Main draw was represented by Renārs Grodskis, Valērijs Vorobjovs, Rebeka Margareta Mertena, Patrīcija Špaka, Alise Vindiga, Signija Stībele and Elza Tomase, but with qualifiers began Paula Jankova, Karolīna Skābe and Justs Jakovļevs.From qualifiers in Main draw qualified Justs Jakovļevs, who after then could manage to get till game for quarterfinal, meanwhile Renārs Grodskis and Valērijs Vorobjovs tournament finished already in 1st round. Signija Stībele and Alise Vindiga finished the tournament in 1st round, but Elza Tomase finished in quarterfinal. Two of Liepaja Tennis Sport school students managed to get into the Final, so Liepaja fans had good surprise, that both played in the ITF Juniors tournament final. In intense game with 4-6 6-1 6-0 in the tournament triumphed Rebeka Margareta Mertena, but Patrīcija Špaka finished 2nd.During the Singles tournament, took place Doubles tournament as well. Both girls Finalists played together in Doubles and could manage to get into the Final in Doubles too. In intense Doubles Final both Liepaja Tennis Sport school students Patrīcija Špaka and Rebeka Margareta Mertena unfortunately lost with 6-4 4-6 [5-10] to other Latvian pair – Margaritai Ignatjevai un Kristiana Lindai Zaharei.Finalists

In Liepāja has concluded Tennis Europe “Liepaja International Tournament U12”

August 27 to September 1 in the tennis courts of Liepaja Tennis Sport school took place Tennis Europe “Liepaja International Tournament U12”. Rebeka Margareta Mertena in Siauliai ITF Juniors takes double victory, Patrīcija Špaka wins in doubles

August 28 – September 2 in Siauliai (Lithuania) took place ITF Juniors tournament “Siauliai Mayor’s Cup 2017”. Liepaja Tennis Sport school was represented by Signija Stībele, Elza Tomase, Patrīcija Špaka and Rebeka Margareta Mertena.Signija Stībele unfortunately couldn’t pass qualifiers. Elza Tomase met with Patrīcija Špaka already in the 2nd round of Main draw, where with 6-0 6-2 victory was taken by Patrīcija Špaka. With successful games in the tournament, in Final met both our students Patrīcija Špaka and Rebeka Margareta Mertena. In Final with 6-3 6-2 Rebeka Margareta Mertena settled the victory in the Siauliai ITF Juniors tournament, Patrīcija Špaka finished 2nd.Along the Singles tournament, our students participated in Doubles tournament as well. Both Singles finalists Patrīcija Špaka and Rebeka Margareta Mertena played together. Both our students managed to get into the Doubles Finals, where they met against Alisa Budanova and Ekaterina Reyngold from Russia. In Final with 7-6(5) 6-2 Patrīcija Špaka and Rebeka Margareta Mertena won the game, so Liepaja managed to get double victory in Siauliai.

In ITF Juniors “Riga Open” our Patrīcija Špaka takes 2nd place

August 22 to 26 in Riga took place ITF junours tournament “Riga Open”. Liepaja Tennis Sport school was represented by Renārs Grodskis, Alise Vindiga, Signija Stībele, Elza Tomase, Patrīcija Špaka and Rebeka Margareta Mertena.Renārs Grodskis, Signija Stībele and Alise Vindiga unfortunately couldn’t pass the qualification round, but Elza Tomase and Rebeka Margareta Mertena finished in 2nd round of Main draw.Patrīcija Špaka successfully managed to play into the Final, where with 6-7(5) 1-6 she lost to Viktoriya Kanapatskaya (Belarus), so at the end Patrīcija Špaka finished 2nd.

2nd place in the LTU cup leg

August 24 to 26 in Liepaja Tennis Sport school tennis courts took place 7th leg of LTU cup for U12. Liepaja Tennis Sport school was represented by Ričards Špaks, Kristians Lasmanis, Didzis Vārna, Gustavs Pagrabs, Dāvis Ziemelis, Artjoms Splenders, Gregors Lazdāns, Ralfs Rukmanis, Artjoms Poddubnijs, Evelīna Beneša, Kristiana Lagzdiņa, Paula Kapleite, Ketlina Arone and Valērija Januška.Best result was succeeded by Ričards Špaks, who lost only in Final and won 2nd place in the tournament.

Summer camp in Berzciems

August 21 to 25 in Berzciems was organized Summer camp for U9, U12 and U14 age groups. During the camp participants improved not only tennis skill and physical strength, but as well showed their artistic skills by painting their summer during the camp week.

Children had the possibility to visit lake Engure, where they saw wild horses and cows as well the beautiful sunset.

From Marupe with silver

August 27, in Marupe took place “Mārupes tenisa skolas balvas izcīņa” (Marupe Tennis school Prix) for U8 age group. Liepaja Tennis Sport school was represented by Orests Ronis. In his subdivision he won in all three games and qualified for the Final round, where he had to play against other subdivision winners. In Final round Orests Ronis won two out of three games and finished in 2nd place and won Silver medal!
