Our Rebeka Mertena is included in Latvian Youth Summer Olympic nomination for “Tomorrow Stars” – let’s vote

In portal “Draugiem.lv” at Olympic site www.draugiem.lv/olimpiade/ has started voting for the Latvian Youth Summer Olympics participants who have been chosen for the nomination of “Tomorrow’s Stars”. This category also includes our student – Rebeka Mertena. Everyone will be able to vote from the May 31st to June 10 12:00 for the Latvian talented athletes. Let’s support our Rebeka and vote for her.

In total for the nomination “Tomorrow’s Stars” have been chosen 24 young athletes from different Latvian cities. Three participants of the Olympics who will receive the most votes will carry the Olympic flag at the opening ceremony at Ventspils in June13th.

Latvian Youth Summer Olympics this summer will take place from June 13 to 15 in Ventspils. New athletes will compete in 26 sports in which 17 of them will be held in Ventspils, seven (including tennis) in Liepaja, as well as one in Broceni, Usma and Jurmala.

The Latvian Youth Summer Olympics:
Latvian Youth Summer Olympics are held every two years where the best young athletes compete against teams of cities in 26 Olympic disciplines, winning ticket for the European Youth Olympics. In year 1992 for the first time took place The Latvian School Olympic days in summer sports.
