With our Elza Tomase victory ITF Juniors tournament has concluded

August 30 till September 6 at the Liepaja Tennis sport school tennis courts took place ITF Juniors tournament for U18 “Prince Cup Liepaja 2019”. At girls competition victory was celebrated by our student Elza Tomase.In the tournament competed 96 young tennis players from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Armenia, Russia, Poland, Belarus, Finland, Greece, Sweden, Ukraine and Ireland. Liepaja Tennis sport school was represented by Valērijs Vorobjovs, Dāvis Rolis, Dāvids Špaks, Elza Tomase, Karolīna Skābe, Alise Vindiga, Paula Jankova, Anastasija Rižkova un Evelīna Ķīvīte.At boys competition our Dāvids Špaks began with with Qualifiers, but in the deciding game he lost and didn’t get into the Main draw. Meanwhile, our Valērijs Vorobjovs and Dāvis Rolis began the competition in Main draw, but unfortunately lost already in the 1st round. Victory of the tournament was celebrated by 3rd seeded Petr Bar Biryukov (Russia) and in 2nd place he left Vilius Gaubas (Lithuania).In boys doubles our Dāvis Rolis and Dāvids Špaks by playing together lost already in the 1st round to the next winners of the tournament. Meanwhile our Valērijs Vorobjovs played together with Roberts Jaričevskis from Latvia and got till the Semifinal, where they lost and finished in split 3rd place. Victory in boys Doubles was celebrated by Belarussian pair Mikhail Malakhovich and Daniil Ostapenkov. In 2nd place Edas Butvilas (Lithuania) and Ivan Kremenchutskyi (Ukraine).In girls Singles 1st round of Main draw from our students passed 1st seeded Elza Tomase and Evelīna Ķīvīte, who finished the tournament in the 2nd round. Meanwhile Elza Tomase with a good game managed to get till the Final where with 7-6(5) 6-4 she celebrated victory at the ITF Juniors tournament. In 2nd place finished 2nd seeded Klaudija Bubelyte (Lithuania).In girls Doubles our Alise Vindiga played together with Elizabete Kļavinska from Latvia and the finished in the game for Semifinal. As well in the game for Semifinal lost our Elza Tomase who played together with Yeva Avetisyan (Armenia). Victory in girls Doubles was celebrated by Belarussian Maryia Stsetsevich and Hanna Tsitavets. In 2nd place finished Alicja Formella (Poland) and Elizabeth Strongina (Russia).All pictures are available in “Gallery”.
