In Liepaja International tournament succeeds Latvian, China and Belarus young tennis players

June 16 to 22 in the tennis courts of Liepaja Tennis Sport school took place Tennis Europe “Liepaja International Tournament 2018” for U14 age group. At the tournament participated 96 participants from 11 countries (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus, Germany, Great Britain, Canada, Russia, Israel, China and Poland). Liepaja Tennis Sport school was represented by Dāvis Rolis, Ričards Špaks, Dāvids Špaks, Enija Paula Aploka, Evelīna Ķīvīte and Karolīna Skābe.At boys competition Dāvids Špaks in intense 1st Round game with 6-4 2-6 4-6 lost to Maxim Zhukov (Russia) who was 1st seeded and managed to get into the Final. In the 1st Round tournament ended to Ričards Špaks by loosing with 1-6 0-6 to Oskar Grzegorzewski (Poland). Meanwhile Dāvis Rolis in 1st Round had a 6-1 6-0 win over Osvaldas Borkertas (Lithuania), but in the game for getting into the Quarterfinal Dāvis lost to the Ričards defeater Oskar Grzegorzewski (Poland) with 5-7 2-6.In girls competition unfortunately all our girls lost already in 1st Round. Karolīna Skābe with 4-6 1-6 lost to Elizaveta Smirnaya (Belarus). Evelīna Ķīvīte lost to Hannah Smith (Great Britain) with 3-6 3-6. Enija Paula Aploka lost with 4-6 1-6 to Elizabeth Strongina (Russia).At boys Doubles Ričards Špaks playing together with Kristaps Toms Tauriņš (Latvia – Ādaži TC) in 1st Round with 2-6 4-6 lost to Lithuanian pair Faustas Kuliusas and Dominykas Stonkus. Meanwhile other both Liepaja players Dāvis Rolis and Dāvids Špaks by playing together in 1st Round with 6-3 7-6(5) won over Lithuanian and Latvian pair German Dumshe and Daniels Tens. But in the game for getting into the Semifinal Dāvis and Dāvids lost with 5-7 2-6 to Edas Butvilas (Lithuania) and Tikhon Fedorov(Belarus).In girls Doubles Enija Paula Aploka together with Evelīna Ķīvīte lost already in the 1st Round to Lithuanian pair Anastasija Adeikyte and Smilte Bakyte with 4-6 2-6.Winner title in boys Singles took Qing Lihao (China).

Winner title in girls Singles took Valērija Maija Kargina (Latvia).Winner title in boys Doubles took Ye Hongyu and Gu Tonghan from China.

Winner title in girls Doubles took Maryia Stsetsevich and Hanna Tsitavets from Belarus.
